Delberts hosted the third annual Danny Rose Memorial Race weekend. Saturday the racers were under lights for the first night race this season. The cool weather brought almost perfect track conditions and the racers took advantage.of this. Michael Kofoid, Delberts 2009 boxstock champ raced in both the boxstock and 250 class. He was very impressive with setting fast qualifying time in both classes. He won the boxstock main and finished second in the 250 main on Saturday night.
Sunday was the finals of the two day event and the racing was intense. Everyone had their eye on the large purse and beautiful trophy. At the end of the day Rico Abreu of St Helena was the big winner he finished first in the 250 and 500 main events.
A salute to the 2009 Champions awards banquet is scheduled for November 20, 2009.
